I thought it was a trashy person but getting to know his story seems like he's feeling well put together guy just makes a few stupid choices just like anybody else. But seems to be a very likable guy. I hope he forgives me for thinking the way I did back in the eighties nineties

I love the fact that Jose is so transparent about his life and career and this interview is on point. I’m sure he was fast but Imhe’s exaggerating that 40 time. A 4.2 is like Deion Sanders or Bo Jackson speed. Great interview nevertheless

I am sorry, I cannot believe Jose Canseco ran a 4.28 or 4.29 40. No way! That would be about as fast if not faster than Deion Sanders or Randy Moss and a couple other speed demons. Jose Canseco is not out running the U's track team or fastest football players. The U is known for having those fast southern boys too!

Mickey Mantle, unlike Canseco, truly had elite world class speed. Willie Mays was also super fast. They both said that if they knew it would be such a big deal, they would have hit 50 plus homers and stolen more than 50 bases in the same season. And that's WITHOUT steroids.

    • Paraiso Informativo

      Paraiso Informativo

      3 күн мурун

@Freddy Calipari In 1998, Jose hit 46 HRs and had 107 RBIs for the Toronto Blue Jays. People didn't talk a lot about him that season because of the HR race between Big Mac and Slammin' Sammy. Also, it was a pretty big year for Jose personally because his 1997 season (the year he returned to Oakland) was filled with injuries from start to finish, so the Blue Jays took a flyer on him for the '98 season and it was a successful season for him. This was during a time where the Jays where struggling to find an identity as a team and they had good individual players but cohesively were not putting it together. Clemens won the pitching triple crown and Cy Young in each of his two years as a Blue Jay then in the offseason of '98 requested a trade out of Toronto and landed on the dynastic Yankees of the late '90s early 2000s, finally getting his long-coveted World Series ring.

They were all on roids though so do you feel the same about the rest or just him? It's definitely a life shortening cheat but someday these athletes science experimentation on themselves will end up accidentally finding something that helps everyone else.
